Thousands of Labschool Community Members Gather at GBK to Celebrate the 58th Anniversary

Jakarta – Approximately 7,000 members of the Labschool community gathered at the West Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta, on Saturday, 7 February 2026, to commemorate the 58th Anniversary (Dies Natalis) of Labschool under the theme “From Labschool for Indonesia and the World.”
The event was attended by prominent national figures and institutional leaders, including the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of Indonesia, the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force (KASAU), and the Rector of Universitas Negeri Jakarta, as well as the leadership of Labschool UNJ. Teachers, staff members, POMG, alumni, students, and parents from various Labschool units were also present.
The celebration began at 5:30 a.m. with a mass morning exercise session, followed by a one-lap fun walk around the GBK area to promote health, unity, and active participation within the community. The event was officially marked by a symbolic balloon release carried out jointly by guests and institutional leaders, representing gratitude and joy for Labschool’s 58 years of contribution to education.
Exhibition booths from Labschool Jakarta, Kebayoran, Cibubur, Cirendeu, Ciracas, and Bintaro showcased and sold handcrafted products created by students and school communities, including food and other creative items. The celebration was further enlivened by a door prize session offering electronic devices, cash prizes, and a motorcycle to selected participants.
The entertainment segment featured vocal performances by Labschool students Quinn Salman and Sheemar, followed by a performance by Edura Ethnic from Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), which concluded the event. The 58th Anniversary celebration served as a moment of reflection on Labschool’s journey and achievements, reaffirming its commitment to contributing to educational development at both national and global levels.
